Hi LTT Forum,

So when I went to power in my computer today, I found that there was no signal detected from my monitor. I was using DP. I tried with HDMI no luck. The thing that finally worked was unplugging my GPU and plugging in VGA from the onboard IO. Then plugging back the GPU worked fine. This happens every week or so and have no idea how to fix it.

I have an Asus Z97 Maximus Hero Vii board and Zotac Amp! Extreme GTX 970 GPU. My CPU is an intel 4790K. I'm not sure where the issue lies at all but if someone has anything to help le me I would be very grateful!

Hope you guys can help  :D

try resetting the bios/cmos.

Sure the GPU is perfectly works, installed and powered?

and signs or sounds during boot?

No sounds or signs, and i've reset the cmos and the same thing keeps happening. I've been recommended all of these before.

All of the power is properly put into the GPU (two 8pin PCIE cables). It hasn't had any malfunctions. It's installed perfectly into the PCI-E slot, with the clip popped in the locked position.

Tried using a different PCIE slot?

Update bios?
