Trying to get the most bang for my buck. I was just trying to find which CPU / motherboard would be the best, for a fairly good price. I will only really be playing counter strike, League of Legends, and some video, and photo editing. Since this is my first build, I really do not want to spend over 200 for a cpu, and I want to try to get as low as possible, while still getting the performance I need

I have a few things picked out, nothing for sure yet. I'm just trying to figure out a cpu 100% first. Once I get the cpu picked out for sure, then I will pick the rest out

Under $200 for a CPU, something like this:

https://pcpartpicker.com/guide/wnttt6/modest-gaming-build

Around $200 for a CPU, something more like this:

https://pcpartpicker.com/guide/DyKH99/great-gaming-build

If you have the extra cash consider 16 GB of RAM, and a larger SSD

Similarly a GTX970 is a slightly more expensive GPU option, but one that will yield better performance at 1080 with much less heat generation.

If those GPUs are too expensive then an R9 280/280x would be the next best option.

I wouldn't recommend the NEX for a PSU. It may be 80+ Gold, but it's not a good unit internally (made by FSP) compared to similarly priced alternatives. 80+ Gold is no guarantee of quality

i5 4670k - Z87X-UD3H - EVGA GTX 670 Sig 2 - Samsung 840 Evo 250GB - 8GB Avexir Core White 1600Mhz - Corsair 750D w/ RGB LED Mod & Remote Control - 2x SP120 - 3x Enermax Cluster - 2TB Seagate SSHD - Arctic Freezer 7 Pro Rev.2 - SuperFlower Leadex Gold 750W
