Asus gtx970 strix 4gb or Msi gtx970 gaming 

Price wise they are about the same 

So which 1 had better performance out of the box without overclocking done by me

The MSI will in general overclock like 1% higher, but the G1 Gaming from Gigabyte is your best bet if you want high overclocks.

The Strix runs completely quiet at all times. I have the MSI 970, and i've never heard the fans of it. 

In the end, choosing between the different 970's i would pick the one fitting your color scheme.

Nope the gigabyte gtx970 g1 gaming is price over my budget by a lot

 Btw g1 gaming cost $645 while msi gtx970 and the Asus gtx970 strix cost $589++ but lesser than $600

Asus, imho. Last 2 cards I had from MSI were as loud as a vacuum and blew up respectively, so I'm not fond of their GPUs.

Both gpu are red and black if im not wrong so im only concern about the performance 

The color differs more from the other 970 models too.

 

If you're buying right now i would go for color.

If you're in the planning, waiting for a small sale would also be viable. Whatever comes on sale first wins.
