Recently my internet speeds on just my laptop have been really slow. So slow that I can barely load a webpage or talk in skype. I've tried resetting my router, disconnecting and reconnecting to the network, scanning my entire system with malware bytes (including root kits). I've even reset my laptop to its factory settings. Nothing has worked. When I use the Netgear Genie app to check my link rate/connection-speed, I have a great signal strength but the link rate is stuck at 1 Mbps. All of the other devices connected to the network have link rates around 30 - 70 Mbps. This tells me that it is a client issue. When I get closer to the router, it is still stuck at 1 Mbps. If anyone knows how to fix this or has any suggestions, I'd greatly appreciate if you replied.
