I backed up my WhatsApp conversations via the send with email option. And now that I installed WhatsApp and it did not detect the conversations. Can someone tell me why it isnt detecting the conversations?

The send to/via email option means u send them to an email address in a '.txt' file along with pics too if u selected the option to.. But the whatsapp app has to backup the convos from your internal storage/sd card... The conversations themselves are usually in the sdcard/WhatsApp/Databases folder with the whatsapp folder housing all the data... Its recommended that u backup the whole folder and then transfer it to ur new phone before installing whatsapp to recover all ur convos.. Coz the chats are encrypted in the databases folder.. I don't know of any way to get back lost convos if u have deleted them from ur sdcard itself or even of recovering them from the txt files sent through email..

Linus's voice was annoyingly hellish for atleast the first 50 videos that i watched
