Dropbox seems like one of the easiest ways to handle your data

I have an iPad which consistently back ups all of the photos, apps etc. on the device and it's fairly straight forward to use.

Is there anything like this on android, its 5.0. I want to back up all of my photos, app data, general storage but I don't know how. Is there a simple way or do I need to set up dropbox or something?
