Ok so after noticing an intermittent power supply problem a week ago, i left it off for the whole week then today i decided to turn the pc on to recover a file, i notice the mouse led's (car mouse) where lighting up but not the sensor. I restarted the pc and it didn't display post. So i unplugged the hdd and dvd drive to to reduce psu load and when i turned it on the fans spun for 1 second, mobo led lit up, front pc lights lit up, psu fan spun up. After a second it turned off. No fireworks, no explosion, just turned off like if i knocked the plug or something. Haven't powers it on since to test as I'm waiting to test with a mates PSU.

Here are the specs (old thing but all i have got):

Core 2 duo overclocked 3.6ghz, no over volt (stock voltage)

Radeon 5670 discrete card HIS

4gb corsair xmx ddr2

Asus p5kl-c/1600 mobo

Huntuky (pice of crap) 500w psu

Cooler master elite 331 case

Anyway, since it turned off without a burning smell or smoke, just like if I'd have knocked the plug out, whats the odds of it damaging the other parts. Hard question but im worried as f$$#%& as its the only pc i have. Im not very wealthy :(

Worked my a$$ off for this pc

Im typing on a droid right now

Thanks for the advice :)
