Hi all,

I hope someone can assist me, I have been running 2 780ti GPUs in SLI for a few months now to 2 27" 1080 displays.

I recently got another one to use Nvidia surround, however something very odd is happening, if I run Heaven in surround mode the PC shuts down after a few seconds, no errors nothing just a freeze then a shutdown.

This brought my attention to the PSU (which is an ax860i) however if I run a full stress test of the system in Maximum performance SLI mode I see the max pull from the PSU is +-600W, when I run heaven in Nvidia surround(5760x1080) the max pull is pretty much the same.

If I disable Nvidia surround in the Nvidia control panel and switch it to Maximum Performance SLI and then force heaven to run in surround 1x3 I dont get a shutdown instead I get a display driver crash.

All temps are good.

I have also disabled ALL overclocks.

I have run a completely clean driver install (using DDU in safe mode) and installed the lastest Nvidia drivers 352.86.

If anyone has any other ideas of what I could check I would be most appreciative.

any overclocks on the gpu? That psu should handle 2 780 ti's no problem.

Does it only happen in heaven? or in games as well?

What are the temps and usage for the cards and cpu?

Whats are the setting ran for the cpu, xmp profile if any and is the ram set to an appropriate speed?

Temps are below 70 for the cards, and usage is around 60%, fps was very low however around 20 FPS at the start of heaven  on the extreme preset at 5760x1080

CPU is on XMP Profile 1 with ram running correctly.

I ran another test, to test the PSU capacity.

I actually connected one of the GPU's to an old 850W PSU and shorted the "on" pins.

So I had my GPU 1 on the AX860i and GPU2 on the 850W PSU.

Same problem happened, so I think we may be able to rule out the PSU...

I'm going to try an older driver, but then I am at out of idea's....

So again what was the usage and temp for the cpu, if your cards are only getting up to 60% usage there is a problem. Unless that being a benchmark and doesn't run right. Do the cards only reach 60% in games too? What is this xmp profile bumping your cpu block and multiplier up to?
