Hey team. So my motherboard died a few days ago, and I'll die during RMA without a PC, so I found an old Dell Inspiron 531 in a closet. I installed Windows 10 on it and I'm already sitting here laughing at it trying hopelessly to run Skyrim, but I want to see how I can push this Athlon with a proper GPU. I already hooked it up to a 500w PSU and I'm trying to find out how I can get my R9 270 working on it. I'm having trouble with that, so help is appreciated.  My question, is the onboard PCI slot not compatible with the GPU?

EDIT : Through magic and canned air I got it to work, I'll post some FPS on games for the lulz

The graphics card should work, just try it.

Does this mean you are getting an 1150 motherboard?

No, just sending mine in for repair. It's going to take like 3 weeks and I'll die without a PC so I got this old dell up and running for YouTube and lulz
