Video editor suggestion...

I had a DVD containing multiple video files in VOB format, I took them off of the DVD and merged them into one big 14.6Gig file.

And then I tried to transfer that one big file over to my 16Gig USB drive which I thought would be fine... BUT! It did not fit!

 

Now, I want to trim that big file a little so that it shrinks in size and can fit on that USB. I've tried random video editors on various websites but I couldn't understand any of 'em. They are just toooo complicated for a person with no experience with video editing. So, does anyone know one video editing program which can 

 

# work with multiple file formats,

# be able to join, split, trim, convert any video file

# be easy to understand

# lightweight (optional)

There's always a way...
