I have two identical laptops, both are  dell insprion15-7537.

my main one screen connection is loose and I plan on RMAing it to Dell Warrenty/Repair Center but my urrent laptop has a Sansung Evo 1TB inside. I am not risking losing my data and drive if they decide to give me a replacement rather than a repair.

The ultimate question is can I swap out computer 2 hdd with my computer 1 ssd? would there be a problem, such as windows 8 repair tools etc?

Ideally the computer are the same but with OEM parts like intel wireless card, those model might be different but in general, ram, CPU, GPU should all be identical.

Why don't you just put them both in the same PC?

its a laptop not a desktop so I won't be able to do that. I know a desktop, I can add as many drive as I can.
