Hey everyone.

I've started debating with myself whether to get a second STRIX 980 for SLI or not.

I am primarily wanting this for, yes, The Witcher 3.

Can anyone advise?

Much appreciated!

Might want to wait to see if price drops to compete with AMD 300 series but that is just my opinion.

I would because When you start turning Nvidia hairworks on and stuff like that it ends up dropping lots of fps

I would wait for another couple of weeks.  980Ti rumors say that we're about to see the release of this card.

still... 2 GTX 980 > 1 GTX 980ti

he can't run 2 different cards in SLI

You're right - I haven't looked at SLI scaling in Witcher.  Not to mention micro-stutter.  At that point, might be worth it to sell the 980 and then use the combined used dollars plus extra cash for the TitanX.

That being said, my original intention of mentioning the 980Ti was that it should shake up the pricing of the 980's.
