using a ds3 controller on galaxy note 3

Hey guys,

I wanted to see if you can use a ds3 controller on a galaxy note 3 without a root or a otg cable, as it's 12am and no chance of going to the store to get one

Don't need root anymore amigo. That was true in Jellybean I believe, but ever since Ice Cream it's possible without root.

NO ROOT, NO PAIRING. Enable supported devices to use wired PS3 DualShock 3/Sixaxis Controller natively. All you need is an Android device with USB-Host support, and connection cable (USB-OTG cable is needed for device with no built-in USB Host port).

You can avoid the need of rooting, and skip the hassle of pairing the controller when switching between devices.

After the controller is enabled you can use it with games and mapping tools which support native controller (e.g. GTA, Dead Trigger, Shadow Gun, GameKeyboard).

NOT ALL DEVICES AND AFTERMARKET CONTROLLERS ARE SUPPORTED, AND ONLY WORK WHEN CABLE IS CONNECTED.

Hmm, tbh? Your only solution other than ordering an OTG cable is to root.

Or buy an OTG cable. They're cheap on Amazon anyways.

The cheapest place I could recommend getting one? Monoprice. They have really high quality USB micro charging cables with thicker wire gauge that can easily do two Amp with five Volt charging over six feet so I know they can make a good cable.

welp, no gta 5 on my phone for tonight, I'll look into those though, do they have otg+mhl? (Hdmi and usb)
