I was just thinking "wouldn't it be fun to have a 5960X in an android device?".

Because of this I would like to know what the absolute minimum hardware required to spin one up would be. I know this is not practical in any way, just a question.

I think power is very limiting factor for trying to put a 5960x in a phone.

Assuming you get past that, heat is a major problem.

Now, if you get past both of those, your phone's power level is now over 9000...

easy, you could make/get an android OS for a "pc" and run it with a 5960X

9800X3D - NH-D15S - MSI X670E  -  32GB 6000MHz CL30 - RTX 3080 FTW3 - 970evo 1TB - 980pro 1TB - 970evo 1TB - 970evo+ 2TB -  970evo+ 2TB - 850evo 250GB - WDblack 1TB - WDblue 3TB - HX850i -  27GR95QE-B.AEU - 28MQ780-B - 27GP850-B - 27GL850 - Meshify 2

Are you referring to android mobile devices because there's a little thing called tdp you should read up on it.

Ok, read the post please, there is not much text.

I know, I like the thought experiment. But seriously, heat and power are the only real constraints at play. Maybe cost too, I'd love to have a even laptop with 5960x  grade CPU in it. That would be so good.
