Backing up Non os files?

Hi, I wanted to back up my non OS files onto an external hard drive, so i can delete it off of my HDD as I want to use an SSD for my OS and I unfortunately didn't partition the HDD to keep my files and OS separate.
So I was wondering if there's any recommended piece of software to easily back up my non OS files. Thanks!

For simple folder to folder backing up, I love SyncToy. I automate it with task scheduler and works like a charm.
