Computer just keeps turning on!

Hi,

 

Okay so I turn on my gaming rig that I built at Christmas and it works just fine like its meant to but when I turn it off it will just automatically turn itself back on again after all the fans have stopped spinning. The only way I can get it to stop is to unplug it and its not convenient. Could it be a fault in the power supply, I have gone over all the cables and they are in securely. The power supply is a EVGA 500B 80+ Bronze, if that helps.

I'm not a tech genius but it may have something to do with on-board headers not being connected properly or something or you could clear the CMOS if it is due to a bios error

Are you shutting it down or just putting it to sleep?

I actually had this problem a while ago, turns out it was just the front power switch was touching together (Dont ask how) 

 

In your case, could be the power supply. check the power buttons and reset switches because it could be something stupid like mine was.

check wake on lan settings in bios and in device manager go to any network devices you have under the power tab on the device properties un-tick "Allow this device to wake my computer"

 

I have to change this on every computer I build at work or they turn them selves back on.

Have the same issue with this exact Powersupply. Bought it 6 months ago and unplugging it to turn my system off has became normal.
