How much better will SLI scaling be om DX12?

asim1999

Since Nvidia is now releasing DX12 drivers, when games support DX12, how much better do you think SLI scaling would be (especially in 4-way SLI)?

Maybe a bit better.

I've seen so many different variants in 4 way SLI benchmarks.

I've seen some that are terrible, and some that have nearly perfect scaling.  Not entirely sure if the ones failing are doing something wrong, (low resolution & low CPU clocks, running at 8x pci-e instead of 16x, etc)

Here's an example of near perfect:

If devs bother to optimise, then the sky is the limit.

So likely not really much of an improvement.

Better.

Nobody really knows do they. (Unless we can get a get a Microsoft dev in here.)

An AMD cpu has no place in a solely gaming build, end of.

Since DirectX 12 is rumored to have support 8 way SLI, scaling is going to have to get better

Infinite better cos it doesn't exist yet.

Nothing will get better without Devs coding for it... The same way some games scale well today will be true tomorrow.. Dx12 is not a magic box that will fix things, it just allows developers more direct control over some stuff.. They still have to not Derp it.

I don'T PreSS caPs.. I juST Hit THe keYboARd so HarD iT CriTs :P
