Building my first PC. Just wanted to check and see if what I have planned to get is sufficient, I will be doing some gaming, nothing too serious, as well as minor video editing, and some photoshop work. My budget, I want to stick around $600, and was wondering what CPU would be the best for what I am planning to do, also am curious as to if the GeForce 750 would be sufficient?

CPU - ?

GPU - GeForce 750Ti, or GeForce GTX 960

ASRock B85 Anniversary LGA 1150 Intel B85

Corsair VS450

Corsair VENGEANCE 4GBx2

i3 4160 or if you can, try to get an i5-4460 or i5-4590. Don't get the 960. The R9 280x is much better.

If you're going to being doing more productivity than gaming, get an FX 8350 from AMD. Also, a 750ti would be fine. A good motherboard would be Gigabyte 970A DS3P. If you want to stay with Intel, pick up a i5 4460. The rest of the build is good.

Can I ask why the 4160, rather than the 4330??

The 4160 is a tad bit faster, but the 4330 is cheaper.

Hey njelinek,

The guys gave you some good recommendations.
I would suggest to try to fit a SSD in your budget for the OS and the programs that you would be using. Also a good HDD for your budget build would be WD Blue. It is designed for everyday computing and is a inexpensive still quite fast (capable of running rather heavier applications) drive. Here's a link: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=4jR7fO

If this helped you, like and choose it as best answer - you might help someone else with the same issue. ^_^
