You can build something that will do way more than you need for less than half your budget.

Thank you senpai <3

I took out the corsair cooler because there quite loud at 37.7 dbA and the dark rock pro 3 is 13.2-26.1 dbA and the case fans should be great considering each one does 81.5 CFM while only peaking at 18 dbA.

Hey Call :)

Your build plan is pretty good, but a bit overkill for just gaming. @Sam Z Man gave you some good advice.
Also is there a reason why you picked an external HDD (the WD My Book) for your build? Were you mistaken that this is an internal HDD or you have a particular plan for it? I would suggest getting something like WD Black or WD Blue drives for gaming. Games rely on storage only for their loading times and FPS and graphics are not affected at all. Here are links to both drives:

No one needs 4TB unless you are a content creator. 1TB is good for most people, 2TB for the few that use tons.

I hope it serves you well :)

@Sam Z Man it really depends on what you are doing with your computer. I personally store lots of photos and videos from my vacations on a RAID1 array and that tends to take up a lot of space. Put my movie and music collection next to that as well as a bunch of games and the 1TB flies out of the window.

@Call @Sam Z Man has a point. If you want to save some money, figure out how much space would you ever need and if 4TB is a bit too much, consider a smaller version. :)

If you want to use the pc as a workstation then stick with an i7.

What Monitor do you have ? As a GTX 980 is overkill if you only have a 60Hz 1080p screen.
