im in the final stages for my build and i need a good keyboard. i asked yesterday i believe but i have no experience with keyboards and i just want to make sure. im going to get one based off what the majority likes, they must all like it for a reason right? loads of people said the corsair k70 with cherry mx red is really good. loads of people also said the software for it is a pain in the ass.

this is the last time im going to ask your opinions on a keyboard before i finally add one to my list. as of now, i have the thermaltake challenger prime but i feel like i should go with something better for gaming.

Depends how much are you willing to spend? That keyboard is okay I suppose but I myself personally would prefer getting a mechanical keyboard, once you use and find the right one you can never go back.

Wanna hang out with me and people like @Theslsamg, @ Ssoele, @BENTHEREN, @Lanoi, @Whiskers, @_ASSASSIN_, @Looney, @WunderWuffle, and @nsyedhasan. Well.... Check out: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/48484-unofficial-linustechtips-teamschnitzel-server-teamspeak/

nothing too expensive, but nothing cheap and flimsy either.

I think the K70 would be a good option if you are willing to spend around a hundred for it. The software is known to be a pain at times but if you ever have a problem I'm sure you could post something about it. Also you said you wanted color matching but does it matter if the keys are back lit or not?

i really only want something with a red backlight. but if other parts of the keyboard are red, that would be cool too.

If it is just regular K70 I don't think you need the software, if it is RGB then yes you will use it. I would recommend brown switches.

http://mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=502 This will be my next keyboard for sure, they make it in cherry mx Browns if you like keys harder to push but aren't clicky or cherry mx Reds that are really easy to,push and don't click
