Personally I would go with gtx 970 for this situation but the 290 really starts to stretch it legs at 1440p plus. So if you plan to stick with 1080p or even upgrade to 1440p you will be fine, but if you get a 4k monitor the 290 will edge above the 970.

 

Either way you are set up pretty good graphics wise.

 

 

P.S. May I ask what storage solution you are going with in the build.

I got an intel SSD 120GB and a Seagate 500GB HDD from my current PC. SSD is mainly for windows and some music and modeling applications.

 

Also I was thinking about starting streaming hence the i7, although the i5 4690k is much cheaper.

Can't beat free storage. 

 

And if streaming goes anywhere more storage is a life saver you that you can save your streams locally. So that you get put them on YouTube or just the fact that you have an archive of what you have done.
