And in this raid 5 and 6.
For you I believe raid 5 is the option for you. The problem is the different sized HDDs you have their, if you were just going for speed and size raid 0 would allow you to have 960GB of storage, but with raid 5 I think you would have to use the 500GB for the redundancy drive, and therefore be limited to 460GB and to have decent speeds a raid card would be needed.

Hi everyone!

That´s my first post, so dont blame me, if I did or wrote anything wrong..

 

Here´s my situation:

I would like to throw a 500Gb, a 140Gb and a 320Gb Hard drive in a RAID array.

I want that 1 Drive Can Fail without any Data loss.

I don´t have so much RAID experience...

How can I do that?

How much Storage Capacity can I get with this?

Is this even possible?
