Laptop help?

Hi guys,

I know people here don't appreciate talk of pre builds or laptops, but my friend has come to me for advice and I need help!

Budget: £500- £650 (about $700 I think)

Usage: video rendering and mid-low gaming (minecraft with mods, don't starve etc)

Needs an optical drive.

What specs should I be looking for??
