I have posted here before but am still having problems.

My set up is fx8350, sabertooth 990fx r 2.0(brand New), gtx 770, windows 8.1 installed on a kingston hyperx ssd.

The computer will randomly freeze, often during restart and shut down periods. I have run memtest, stressed my cpu and gpu and found no errors at all. I have completely reset windows and reinstalled it on my ssd and i am still having problems. The error is reported as a kernal power error category 42. I have tested my psu in another computer and had no issue there either.

Does anyone know what could be causing this issues as i have no idea now.

Please, i am getting desperate now

Thanks

Are you using a pirated copy of windows? This often happens if the pirated copy runs malicious programs before shutdown and during sign-in. If not, try re-aligning your CPU in its socket and updating the bios.

Nope its not pirated, and the cpu is fine, i changed the motherboard today, both times the cpu has been seated properly and the issue persisted

I've heard some PSUs don't work well with some motherboards. May be your issue, try a different PSU from one of your other computers. What PSU do you have by the way?
