This is my modified build which should run games on Ultra settings and be able to handle video editing. I was going to use a AMD FX 8350, but someone suggested I use a Intel Xeon 1231v3 since it handles video better but has not overclocking ablities. So what do you guys think?

looks good only comment is z97 and custom cooling is kid of a waste with a locked cpu like the e3

Everything else Is good, would have gone with a 4790K instead, it is more optimized for desktop stuff, and handles rendering and videoediting just as good and maybe better

Yes, but they are more expensive and a Xeon is the same just can be run all day.

well a 4690k if you want the features that Z97 offers (overclocking) or a B85 board if you dont

How about staying with this board then getting the 4790k later on when I can buy it.

then get a cheap cpu now like the g3258 so you can save up quicker
