Windows 8 + OS X boot issues (hackintosh), help!

There are three very odd things about my situation:

  • In Chimera, my Windows partition doesn't show up.

  • If i set my UEFI to boot to "Windows Boot Manager", Windows will boot to a black screen.

  • If I go into my quick boot options and select "Windows Boot Manager", Windows will boot fine. (I have to do this every time I start the computer)

All help is appreciated. If this is in the wrong section, please move  :)

Do you use separate sata disks for OS X and Win 8?

Yes, Both are on their own drives.

with all boot related bios settings on default ...

- disconnect all drives but the os x one

- boot OS X

(maybe run Mulitbeast again)

- shutdown OS X

- disconnect all drives but the windows 8 one (don't use the sata port you used for the os x drive)

- try bootin windows 8 without selecting the WBM

does this work?

I just tried all of that, and it did the same thing. I should mention that I have tried reinstalling Windows because of this.

Set your Motherboard in the UEFI/Bios Settings for the boot device to Legacy/Bios only and re install Windows. Chimera unfornuately is not able to boot from UEFI Windows installations ;)
