Hey guys I got two questions! :) First of, which benchmarks do you prefer for GPU benchmarking? I am using 3DMark11 and Unigine right now to benchmark my GPU! The thing is, sometimes 3DMark crashes, almost like "Don't overclock more now or you'll break the GPU" and then I try the same clocks in Unigine and everything is fine, I can even run the same benchmark 2-3 times without any flickering, screen tearing, artifacts or anything, what can this be?

Also, is my GPU a f*cking beast or what am I doing wrong? Right now (I'm using Evga precision with a water cooled Gigabyte GTX 980 G1 Gaming) my clocks are: GPU Clock: +200Mhz and Mem Clock: +290MHz and I'm having 0 problems, and my GPU won't go over 44C, is this normal? Should I even be able to clock it this high? xD First time I have a high-end GPU so I have no idea ..

your on water ? those temps seem about right dependent on how my water / cooling space there is. but most gtx 980's can do those numbers as far as i know. mine pushes past 1500 core and 1900mem on air lol

Please quote me or tag me if your trying to talk to me , I might see it through all my other notifications ^_^

Yepp I am, so I should just keep on going? :P I've NEVER been able to get to +200MHz on core clock, and +290 on mem clock xD That is way beyond my experience :P

Also why the F does the gpu/mem clock show up different everywhere? in GPU-Z it's always 50 less than in Evga Precision, and in Unigine it's like 1699MHz, which one should I trust? Evga Precision?

depends on the aplication , gpu boost 2.0 can raise it past what you set it , i wouldnt trust ugine tho , use something like afterburner or gpuz (i use both )

I'll trust Evga then since that's the program I overclock with, maybe it's giving it a 50MHz boost that doesn't show up in GPU-Z for some unknown reason :) Well I'll just keep on raising the bar!

Also any other benchmarks that you would recommend? So I don't continue to overclock and eventually I'm like "Okay let's play a game since it works fine in Unigine" and boom BSOD

i mostly use fire strike  , if it can run forestrike without artifacts you should be good (its puts one hell of a load on your gpu)

Thanks man! I was searching for it before but couldn't find it, I'll try to find it and use both benchmarks just to be sure! :)

Thanks for the help! :D

Oh thank you! Didn't know it was free! :)

I use valley and occt, along with in game benchmarks. After that if off to a night of folding or boinc to see if stable.

Thanks!  I'll try it out! :D

Just ran the Firestrike Extreme, no artifacts or problems at all, GPU temp = 38C and CPU temp = 61C
