I'd say the Asus one is better.

 

Though for ODD I tend not to really use them anymore even though I have two installed in my PC, just for those really really old games that only exist on CD/DVD.

I've taken to a 16GB USB 3.0 for my Windows 8.1 Enterprise installer, SO much quicker!

 

Literally takes 5 minutes to completely reinstall windows. (+ any updates and re-installing of software).

 

the only thing I really use my DVD drives for now is C&C Generals Zero Hour (And I even have a no-CD crack for that game too) - so even then, very rarely I need the Discs.

haha! I bought the game three times in total on different occasions (So I don't feel bad about cracking the .exe so that it no longer checks for the CD) - Game runs quicker without the CD too..!

Yeah they're kinda suprisingly expensive in au though, america seems to have them everywhere. One day i'll just BUY ALL THE USBS!!

Because exchange rates don't exist in product pricing. So any given GPU could be $600 in the US and £600 in the UK. Even though it should actually be £400 to account for the exchange rate...!

Sometimes its good if you can ship from another country (would have to compensate the shipping cost though)

Yeah, often with the shipping costs + import taxes it's no cheaper to buy it from the US in $ than it is to buy it from the UK in £.

 

Good old tax eh...!
