New Slim Graphics Card

Hey Guys,

I plan to buy a new slimline card for my pc

my specs are:

4gb ddr2 667/800

core 2 duo E8400

A 240w psu

geforce 8400gs

 

I will have about $50 to spend and it needs to be slim and powered from the pci-e x16 slot...

any suggestions???

P.S. I dont plan on playing gta v at high settings in 4k

what generation of pci-e? I'm guessing probably gen 2.

One of those is probably your best option. (The first one is slimmer, though you're gonna have to look on ebay or somewhere for one)

i'd save up more money and keep your 8400gs for now. spending 50.00 on a graphics card is just a rip off honestly. any graphics card around that price wouldn't be able to out perform intel integrated graphics from the last 2 years.

my pc cost $20 from my school it department, so $50 is all I want to spend. the onboard has failed to an extent so that sucks... and my 8400 gs is struggling a lot on tf2 and robocraft... $50 is my max, cos im also gonna buy a core 2 quad and it has pci-e 1.0. its a hp compaq 7900 btw.

I only play games like robocraft and portal 2 but I would like CS-GO, so anything cheep is good. Remember also that is has to run on power from the board and run from a 240w psu
