So I was running Valley(With an Overclocked GPU) and when I left Valley, I noticed that I wasn't connected to the Internet, i couldn't Eject USB's and that the Start Button Wasn't Working. I hit the Windows Key and then Shut Down The PC, it took like 2-3 Minutes of the PC being on(Although the monitor wouldn't display anything) and then it eventually restarted itself.I was running an OC of 1510MHz on the Core and +300 on the memory with the Power at 112% and No tweaks to the Voltage on my G1 GTX 970 and I had previously thought that this OC was completely stable as I had run Valley for an hour with these settings with no Issues and i had played games for about a week with no Crashing or Artifacting.

I did however run OCCT with this OC and it gave me errors.

Things I did before the Glitch

1. Deleted Programs(PicPick, Turbo LAN and Windows Movie Maker)

2. Set Up Overclocking Profiles In MSI Afterburner(So the Card would run at stock in 2D applications and with the Aforementioned OC in 3D ones)

3. Downloaded Stuff(I ran Malwarebytes and had no issues)

I have backed off my GPU overclock for the time being to one that gives me no Errors in OCCT

Here is the rest of my System

CPU: i5 4690k(Stock)

GPU: G1 GTX 970

SSD: Crucial MX100(OS)

Cooler: Noctua NH-D15

HDD: WD Black

RAM: G Skill Ripjaws X 1866MHz(XMP Enabled)

MB: ASUS Z97-A

PSU: EVGA 750B2

Case: Define R5

What Do You Guys Think

Is there any chance that this caused any damage to my System or any data on it?

The Internet Works Fine Now, All of my files and Applications are still all here and the PC Runs Just like it did before the Crash

Thanks

I had a similar problem and it turns out it was one of the buttons on my mouse being stuck in the pressed down position very odd i know but have a look (Mouse was a razer death adder).

I talked to some other people and they told me that it would definitely be because of an Aggressive OC being used for a prolonged Period

I lowered it a bit to a more stable one so I think that I'm good now

Thanks For The Reply!
