Newb gpu question.

Go to solution Solved by Glenwing,

It's DDR. When the actual frequency is 3000MHz, the effective frequency is 6000MHz. Your software is reading the actual frequency.

When you read the stats of a card and it says effective memory clock, I assume that is the max Hz it can "run". So while gaming where should it be with stock setting? Also would it change in sli?

My effective clock is 6008 and gaming its at 3005. So I assume that's correct, I also flashed the bios of the cards but I don't think I changed any of the parameters aside from max power and fan speed.

Ok. Thanks for clearing that up. Wanted to make sure my current power situation wasn't messing my pc up more then it already is.
