you certainly need a new PSU. 600W is't going to cut it for a 295x2. 800-850W would be better.

you will also run into CPU bottlenecks in some games (e.g. GTA V), though that depends on the game.

Your power supply will not be enough to support a 295x2

First I would decide if you want to go to 1080p, 1440p or 4K.  For 1080p, or even 1440p you could aim for something like a 290 or 290x which while it won't be as good as a 295x2, it will perform admirably and be a significant upgrade ( twice as fast) as the 7870.   I can only recommend the 295x2 for 4K, but you're going to want a ~850W power supply which is another $150 or so.

i really looking to get into 4k i was going to get the corsair 1200i with the 295x2 would i need to upgrade anything else? or would my cpu become a problem?

i wanted to know if the 295 would fit in a 250D ive seen 290mm but then 305? im on a bit of a budget but nothing a little saving wont do .

You definitely need a CPU upgrade. An i5-4690K minimum, I would recommend an i7-4790K. Also, see if you can get two 290/290X's instead of a single 295X2, as I've heard the performance is better with two of these GPUs.About the case, i found this on the corsair forums: http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=126599

However, even a cheaper case like the Coolermaster N300 would be fine and looks pretty good too. And, as people have said above, a 1200w PSU should be enough. Hope I helped.

my socket is pretty old the most i know i was able to go up to was a i7 3770k and i believe im at the best i5 i can get on this socket.

but if i was to get the 295x2 would the corsair 1200i power it all up?

would my motherboard have any problem holding just a beast of a card?

and i would need to get a i7 cpu?

There might be some bottlenecking but if you really want to seriously get into 4K, firstly, with a 295X2 you will want an ATX case, and probs a new Motherboard. If that's the case (haha) then it would be good to get 2 290X's instead. However, the 1200W PSU should have no problems, and the i5 should be fine for now. I personally think you would get more performance if you went ATX and dual 290X's. However, that's just what I think. And your motherboard should be fine holding the 295X2, not sure about your case . . .

Here  come the plebs with "advice". ANY i5 gen 3 and better will not bottleneck even a 295X2.

so if the i5 wont bottleneck the 295x2 could the 295x2 bottleneck the cpu?

also to get this over with the corsair 1200i would be good enough for the 295 and my current specs i would not need to change anything but the power supply to run i want to make sure im getting everything i need.

There's nothing wrong with the i5-3470 for what he wants to do.

4K is completely GPU bound.

There's very little benefit to the 4690K and zero benefit to the 4790K.
