I have a Nintendo 3DS XL (not the "new" one). I also have an Android smartphone. The phone supports Bluetooth. The 3DS does not. Both have 3.5mm ports for 4-pole jacks, obviously.

Currently, I'm using my earbuds from my old Zune (yes, I know it's not an iPod, I don't care), but those buds don't come with a microphone which means they're no good for my phone.

What I would like is a closed-back solution to avoid disturbing people around me while I'm on the go. I'm not sure whether it would be better to get something that works on both, or to have two separate solutions, one for each device. As for the phone, I want something for both ears, not just for calls, but for media like YouTube or whatever else.

Financially, I would prefer to spend 100 USD or less, but if I must, I'm willing to go up to 200 USD. I don't have the full funds yet, though, so the need is not immediate.

In terms of sound profiles, I prefer a dark sound signature, but not so dark that I can't hear the rest of the range.

All that said, what are my options? Is my price range appropriate? Is there any one "best for the price and preferences" option?

Thanks in advance.
