Automatic shutdown

Go to solution Solved by k4p84,

Any recent updates?

Left it on sleep and came back to it off?

Can you enter the BIOS?

Could try a CMOS reset : remove psu kettle lead, remove CMOS battery / hit CMOS reset button if your motherboard has one.

Failing that, unplug everything bar a  single RAM stick (DIMM slot 1) and your boot OS drive, can you boot.

Report back :-)

  • when I power on my computer, it starts up normally with the beep and fans and everything, but I can't see anything on the screen and after a little while it just shuts down and starts back up, if I touch the normal power switch it doesn't respond at that point so I shut it down with the power supply switch. I already disconnected all the power supply cables and connected them back on again. I am connected directly into the outlet. It always worked before, no problem.

I have an intel 4770K,  a msi 980 g, 16 gigs of ddr3 hyperx blu, a sabertooth z97, 1 TB WD black, a sandisk ultra plus ssd, and a ultra x4 850w power supply

I am running windows 7 64 bit

I would really appreciate the help

Thanks for replying!

So in the end I just left things going on and after 5 times, it randomly booted into BIOS.

Somebody moved all the settings around (I guess a practical joke)

and it was really unstable.

So I just reset everything to default and my beauty is working again!!

thanks for helping me anyways!! :D  :D
