Hi all, I have a Phenom II X4 965 in a MSI 790FX/GD70 with a boot/cpu/crash issue. Basically what happens is that there seems to be an intermittent boot failure. On first boot, the post stops with the post error of 88. If I clear the CMOS, the system will boot to windows, but will then crash out to a black screen after about 30 - 60 seconds and back to error 88 after a power cycle. I've read that Error 88 is cannot initialize CPU, but I don't have another AM3 board to test my chip in to be able to tell if its the board, the cpu or something else.

Any ideas? (Note this is not my main PC, its an old one so this isn't urgent, but it would be nice if I could figure it out)
