I have never purchased anything from eBay because I am always scared of hassle of sending things back, DOA or scams but recently some of the members (here) mentioned buying video card from eBay and indeed it was cheaper. After reading description and shipping details of different PC parts, I scouted on eBay for a week now and then some of the gpus goes about $ 30-40 less, and I was wondering how are your experiences with eBay and do you trust them. Do you prefer eBay over Amazon or neither, you get your stuff from Newegg?

eBay AKA: ScamBay

Don't buy PC parts from eBay (Only if they are expensive parts, cheap stuff is cool), reliability depends on who is selling the item, NewEgg and Amazon are great for buying PC parts.

it doesn't matter, to me, if they scam, my dad sends eBay a quick email and get refundeds. Something with that good sellers rewards..my dad's got a great selling record so if someone scams, it is easy for him to get refunded.

I myself wouldn't buy PC parts on eBay unless the seller has a perfect score and 100% positive feedback, I would also check what other stuff they are selling or have sold to see if they the seller is actually a business running off eBay or just one average guy selling stuff that he doesn't need.

eBay is hell for the sellers, heaven for buyers.

You just need to make sure you know exactly what you're buying, and read the description, check for loopholes, etc and you'll be perfectly safe.

eBay is super easy to work with if you get scammed, or even if you didn't. You want your money back? Boom, refunded, almost no questions asked. It sucks for sellers, but buyers never have to worry.
