Where in Australia are you moving to? It is amazing here in Queensland. Either way you're making a good life decision to move here.

WARNING: PC parts are ridiculously priced. You have been warned.

With customs many people have done it before, you may just get pulled over and questioned about what's in there. Just stay calm and explain it to them what it is and why you have it in there. Customs in Australia is generally pretty good and friendly.

But they aren't. AUD is weaker than USD and Australia has more taxes, everything is about as you would expect in pricing.

It is still more expensive, I understand currencies and economics but stuff here is still costs more than what it would in places like America. Also, Australia hasn't got many computer stores (at least not here) making any local hardware you CAN find much more expensive.

Are you telling me australian online stores don't ship to australia? If you are talking about deals then sure, but most of the world does not get deals like in US, rebate thing is just strange to most people.

No, they do. I mean local stores. Most of the online stores are located in Melbourne, which is on the other side of the continent. Shipping isn't too bad, I just wish Newegg had an Australian store. :L

But if you take newegg prices convert them to aud and add 10% newegg becomes more expensive than australian stores... It's just the rebates and those discount codes that make a difference.
