Mic not working

I have a corsair vengence 1400 and an iMac late 2012 21.5 inch and my mic is not working, it has never worked on windows bootcamp but today it was not working on both bits is there anything I can do or is my mic broken, the headset works fine, I use a duel adapter and the headphone sound bit works. Should I send it back and get a replacement?
