-snip-

1. Change the mobo to something for 100 GBP

2. Once you've done step one, add another 970.

3. With this budget you can get an SSD (258-500GB)

4. Follow yer topics.

CPU: Intel i7-4790K @ 4.7GHz --- RAM: Lenovo 1600MHz 16GB --- MOBO: Gigabyte Z97-G7 --- GPU: EVGA GTX 970 FTW ACX 2.0+--- PSU: Corsair CX600 --- Case: Corsair Air 540 --- Cooler: NZXT Kraken X61 --- OS: Windows 8.1 --- Monitor: 24" AOC G2460P + Dell 19" --- Mouse: Logitech MX Perfromance --- Keyboard: Corsair K70 (Cherry MX Brown) --- Audio: Sennheiser HD558

Don't buy a GTX 980, it's overpriced! Buy 2 GTX 970s or 2 R9 290s intstead (the R9 290s would even be cheaper)

If you have £2000 then get this pc it's much better.

An AMD cpu has no place in a solely gaming build, end of.

I3 4150, Intel HD graphics, corsair CX750M, 4gb ram, Asus H81M-E, corsair 230T, Intel stock cooler WD Green 2TB Gigabyte 550TI

Why you shouldn't trust Gpu or Cpu boss Click on this I dare you!

i dont really care about the price, however that cpu and gpu are overpriced.

It may be overpriced but due to the fact AMD has nothing up there *yet* you have to pay whatever price Intel chooses cause they have a monopoly on the cpu market.

Get a gtx 980 g1,

a waaaaay cheaper motherboard cause thats really unnecessary,

maybe consider an SSHD,

the Kraken x61 AIO

and look into the phanteks cases cause in my opinion the one you've chosen isn't such looker

Also if youre doing a lot of rendering maybe another SSD

I also notice you have no peripherals shall we assume you have a monitor, keyboard, mouse and speakers already?

SSHD is ok but my SSD is much faster and it is more useful

Same here its not even comparable, but this dude already has an SSD and I use my SSHD as an alternative to an HDD

why all of you recommend the gygabite?

Personally I have the 980 G1 so it's tried and tested but generally gigabyte products are pretty healthy and live long lives. Thats not to say asus or MSI aren't any good. Also i love the look of the card
