Need a cheap 1st GPU

So I'm looking to build a pc for $400US and i have an APU so i can play some games, but sooner or later I'm gonna need to upgrade.

Also I'm on a $150 budget.

R9 280x  OR if you want to play Nvidia optimised titles ONLY like GTA5 get a 960, but 280x is going to be my main reccomandation.
