Hey guys, my 2 year old samsung started to randomly type.. well its not actually typing but its like someone is just randomly touching the screen and selecting random stuff, it happened right after i turn on my phone yesterday. One more thing i also removed my screen protection layer right before, i don't know if it has anything to do with the issue right now.

I think its the screen digitizer i am not sure though, could it be a software glitch? and if it is the digitizer, can i replace the digitizer only or do i have to replace the whole screen with the digitizer?

I Listen. i Observe. I Learn. I make my own decision

Heyyo,

There's a chance it's a software glitch. Back up all your data and try a factory reset or even flashing a different ROM. Definitely try software before hardware.

Looking it over? Sorry dude I think you're boned.. it seems to be the LCD and digitizer are an integrated unit and need to be replaced as one assembly for that Galaxy Note 3... it looks like the cheapest place to buy the combo is on eBay.

Heyyo,

I know this also sounds odd, but try using it without a SIM card installed, or any microSD cards and try reseating the battery. Sometimes they can be a little picky. :P

Btw, are you on Android Jellybean(4.3), Kitkat(4.4) or Lolipop(5.0)?

If the contacts on the battery are dirty? You can try using a pink pencil eraser to clean them and then a microfibre cloth to wipe away any leftover residue, but go gently as too much pressure can damage the contacts anti-oxidization surface.
