Galaxy S5 Troubleshooting Help

So recently I've noticed an annoying issue with my S5: every once in awhile, the screen turns on and the keyboard pops up and it's ready to type in my alternate password, even though I have a fingerprint lock. This only happens during charging though. Has anyone else ever had this problem, and if so, how did you fix it? It's wasting battery life when it's not in use...

Have you updated to Lollipop? If so it could be caused by the warning message that says to ensure the back cover is on properly for water protection. It happens to mine and the screen turns on, I don't see the message unless I unlock my phone right away. As far as I know, there isn't anything you can do unless you root the device.

It happens sometimes when it's not charging as well I think. I'm not sure though because I can't see it when I'm not using it, it's in my backpack at school mostly. I haven't updated to Lollipop yet because there aren't many custom ROMs available for Verizon ones yet. I'm still kind of stuck on this issue... My phone is rooted though and it's running Alliance ROM.
