Ok maybe its just the nvidia cards that get the windforce G1 cards, but any way still the gigabyte windforce card is very good and provides a lot of cooling. (You will need it).

Alright, thank you for the assistance.

One last question. Would a 600W PSU be good enough for a 290 and 4690K with a nice overclock? (CPU)

I don't see why it wouldn't be.

Get the 970... It'll worth your whil. It's better than the 290 and 290x, and this is coming from a bloke who uses amd for all his lifE.

I have used both and for the price AMD is better unless you are spending over 750 on a card

Where I live the 290x costs as much as the 970.. Which makes the 970 an obvious choice. Nvidia features might not seem much ar first, but I've grown to like them (and need them since I'll be playing witcher 3 and other gameworks titles)

What's a good 290? The DCU II is red.. Which doesn't match my white and black build.

The 290 and 290x are great cards, but their power consumption is too much for me... Plus the other team offers better performance and efficiency.

but you are spending a lot more upfront for the slight improvement in efficiency.

Lol I live in Indonesia, we don't do ebay. I bought mine In its Indonesian counterpart (kaskus). 290 and 290x are not popular here due to the heavy power consumption and our rather expensive electricity.

just steal your neighbors electricity with an extension cord :P

Allways go for the best GPU you can afford. Something which can handle games now might not handle them so well 18 months from now. So getting the fastest gpu you can afford means your system will be able to handle upcoming games better and last longer.

The 970 has 4 gb vram and not 3.5. Most people have not seen any issues with the 970 once vram goes past the 3.5 limit. Whilst others have.

After recently finding out that the 970 only has 3.5gb of non retarded video ram, I'd buy the 290x.

True dat. Especially since Batman needs 3GBs of VRAM.

1. The 970's actual proper vram amount is 3,500mb. the other sector (500mb) is 1/7th the speed.

2. The people that haven't had issues with it are the ones not putting their GPU to the limit, the issue is there regardless of anything.

Not hating on the 970, I'm an Nvidia fanboy my self but this card is just a waste of hard earned money in my opinion.

Your only real option is the 980 which costs quite a bit of money, or you can downscale your performance to a 290x which isn't a bad decision either.
