GPU Black screen

I recently bought a Radeon R9 290x, it was working for about 2 weeks then today I started up my pc and then on my monitor it said no signal, could this be because my psu is not strong enough (TX Corsair 650 psu) . When I put in my old shitty gpu it works as normal. Any thoughts on this matter.
