Hello :)

The last 2 days my pc has had troubles with starting up. I will press the power button and the PC will start the fans and make all types of sounds that should mean it's starting up. After 5-10 seconds, the fans will slow down gradually and eventually the pc will shut off again. At this point, the PC will continuasly restart and make this progress time after time gain until i pull out the power chord to stop it.

My questions are:

1. Is this a hardware issue (e.g overheating) or a software issue (virus)?

2. Is it possible to fix this at home (replacing the thermal heatzink) or do I need to consult an expert?

Thanks in advance :)

check your temps and fans are spinning to see if its a heating issue, if u see lots of dust, clean it :) sure theres a 1000 youtube videos on how to clean / maintain your computer

heres 1 random one

if its all clean and low temps and still crashes  reinstall windows, it happens 1 too many crashes or virus's kill windows or power surges, and check for a clunking hard drive it could be dying

but if its auto shutting off its usually a heating issue, clean all the dust bunnies namely take of heat sink pull fan off and give it a proper cleaning and re-apply thermal paste after processor and heatsink are shiny
