Sound is broken?

Everything on my computer is working fine. A few weeks ago my speakers/headphones plugged in started buzzing every 10-20 secconds. It would make everyhting sound bad and robotic. Please help it is so annoying.

Check to see if you have any power running parallel with the audio cable that generally causes electrical interference could be the external cables or internal if you are using the front panel audio.  For power and audio have them intersect at a right angle.
