I've heard people talking shit about the lower ed Thermaltake power supplies, but I've got a Smart 650 and the voltage stays pretty consistent...I don't see the hate?

By the statistics, it is a pretty terrible PSU... BUT, that doesn't mean it wont get the job done. There's always going to be elitists for each category of components.. they tend to flame you if you don't select the elite products that tend to cost a bunch more. These elitists are commonly living in their mothers basement and don't even own a real rig or the components they claim to own. If I'm building a budget build and the Tt SMART is the right price for my needed wattage, I'd go for it.

My old Smart 650W was awful. Had awful coil whine and made weird buzzing noises. I now own a EVGA G2 750w. Love it to bits.
