is these anything good?

so in 3 days i have a chance to get a free headset, these in particular: http://www.ozonegaming.com/product/blast-4hx/

 

i just wondered how average they are i mostly want it for the mic since i mostly use my 5.1 surround speakers but if any1 know the sound i would love to hear what u know :) they cost around 90$ so they aren't really that cheap so they must have something that's good on them or is it just because they are sponsored or something?

Surely if your going to be using your surround sound these are going to muffle and reduce the quality of the sound if your wearing them just for the mic?  I would maybe invest in a 'table' mic over headphone mics.

 

But like the guy above said, free stuff is nearly always good.

well nothing is really free, i wasn't that clear but im using points I've earned up, just wanted to know if there was any super flaws that im wasting points on :)

hehe nono im not going to wear them on the head i have them around my neck with the mic pointing up :)

...... That is not going to be the most comfortable, I would honestly just recommend getting a webcam or desk mic instead, that way you are not going to be restricted by wires from you to a audio outlet, and your not going to have a headphones restricting your head movement.
