I just recently bought a used Asus GTX 760 DCUII OC from a friend for $180, which he bought new last November. The card doesn't overclock very well. (a measly +100 on the core (1106 mhz), and +400 (1752 mhz) on the memory) from stock. This slight overclock only gives me about 5-7 more FPS in games, but the upside is that the card barely goes over 65c when gaming.

And so, I wondered. Is it still worth overclocking this card for the extra 5-7 FPS? I want the card to last as long as possible, as upgrading is currently not an option.

What do you guys think?

An extra 5 to 7 fps is pretty good, and in cases where you are dropping under 40 fps, those extra 5 to 7 will make a big difference.  +100mhz won't make much difference in GPU longevity, and since temps are good, I say go for it!
